About The Barn Cat

The Barn Cat is your kitty’s home away from home. We know that our kitty companions prefer consistency and familiarity. But there are times when we must be away from home. When we can’t be with them, there should be a place that we feel good about bringing our feline family members. This place is The Barn Cat!

There are NO CAGES at The Barn Cat. For a cat, being placed in a cage, surrounded by unfamiliar animals, sounds, smells and sights, can cause unnecessary stress.

At The Barn Cat, each cat “family” will have their OWN ROOM, whether you have one cat or up to six, your kitty or kitties will have their own room to make their “home away from home”. Their room is large enough for exercise and enrichment while being cozy enough to feel safe, comfortable and secure.

We know that cats are not fans of change and don’t typically like to meet unfamiliar cats or dogs. The Barn Cat is a cat only boarding home.  This will help to ease your kitty’s anxiety. Also, there is no shared space for unfamiliar cats to intermingle or pick up another’s scent. This will also help to alleviate stress for your kitty.

Each private, climate-controlled room at The Barn Cat is equipped with cat friendly furniture, comfy places to nap, some great hiding spaces, plenty of toys, lots of horizontal play space and a large window with perch for bird watching and catching those rays of sunshine. Your kitty will have playtime, love and cuddles each day. Every cat is different and here at The Barn Cat, we will accommodate your kitty and give him or her just as much attention as they like.

Rooms, food/water dishes, and litter boxes are cleaned daily and thoroughly disinfected between guests. As it’s best for your cat to maintain a consistent diet, we recommend bringing your cats’ regular food. If needed, food can be provided at an additional cost.

We welcome tours and will make arrangements to meet your busy schedule. Call to schedule a time that is convenient for you.
